This year we are celebrating our 35th year as a family run business. The Ponderosa Cafe is one of the most popular resorts to visit in North Wales and North Western UK. At 1,400 ft above sea level it offers some of the most stunning views in the area and breathtaking walks that make you feel on top of the world! To the North of the Cafe the Clwydian Mountain range is clearly visible (weather permitting!!!) and on a very clear day the three peaks of Snowdon can be clearly recognised. The Ponderosa Cafe Complex is also a famous meeting place for Motorcycle enthusiasts. With fantastic roads to ride, you can expect to see all types of bikers here from new young riders to born again bikers, Cruisers, Tourers, Customs, Trailies, Sports, brand new and vintage. BSA, Triumph, AJS, Vincent etc. If it has two wheels, you’ll probably see it here especially in the summertime.

Picnic in the Riverside Park, take a ride on the steam train or the horse-drawn canal boats. Take a trip over the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
For a glimpse into our Georgian history, visit Plas Newydd, the home of the Ladies of Llangollen. Wander round the gardens and complete your visit with a cup of tea or a light meal in the tearooms.
Catch a performance of an opera, musical or a play by one of our talented, award-winning groups at the Victorian Town Hall.
